Texans were hit with a surprise this past week. Close to 60 Billboards around the Lubbock, Texas area have featured a picture of Jesus…with tattoos! Many Texans are outraged at these billboards calling them “blasphemous” and “not appropriate.”
On Jesus’ body are all kinds of negative words like outcast, jealous and addicted and it is promoting the site Jesus Tattoo.
The video shows Jesus operating a tattoo parlor where shamed and depressed clients take the seat next to him. Jesus then takes people’s negative tattoos and turns them into positive ones. One by one the negative tattoos are transferred to Jesus’ body symbolizing Jesus taking it upon himself.
Is this taking sharing the Gospel too far? Or maybe not far enough?
