Hi, my name is Judah and I am a heretic.

“Hi Judah.”

I don’t know why I am the way that I am, but for some reason I always tend to look at things a bit differently from everyone else. For years I thought it was a bad thing, but I have now learned to embrace my inner heretic.

Really being a heretic just means that you questions the established beliefs, and I don’t guess that is really a bad thing. The people that are being questioned kind of think it is bad though and so they label you a heretic. Oh well.

I have this belief that we were all created unique and special and have a purpose. As a result, I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all belief systems that say you have to do this or that or believe this certain way.

I believe that the ultimate heretic was Jesus. What?? Now you must think I am insane. But he really was. He was always questioning the established “system” of his day and he was living his life in such a way that he was not really ever trying to please any person. He just did what he felt he had to do.

In that same vein, I am a heretic. And if you are sick and tired or being crammed, shoe-horned, cajoled and manipulated into being a certain kind of person or living your live in a certain way then I invite you to come and join me in this Heretic’s Journey.
